On 24 February 2026, the Primary Wing of Delhi Public School Mathura Road hosted a heartfelt Farewell Assembly for Class V students as they prepare to enter the Senior School in the upcoming academic session.

The solemn yet celebratory programme was conducted by Class IV students with warmth and enthusiasm. It began with a melodious choir, followed by the Thought of the Day and news updates. A meaningful farewell speech conveyed gratitude and good wishes, while a vibrant dance performance added joy to the occasion.

Adding to the warmth of the event, the Head Boy and Head Girl shared cherished memories of their Junior School journey and gratefully acknowledged the constant guidance and encouragement of their teachers.

The ceremony also recognised excellence as the esteemed Principal, Dr Ram Singh, felicitated students for their outstanding accomplishments in various fields. In his address, he emphasised discipline, time management, and self-study as keys to success. He encouraged students to remain focused and grounded, expressing confidence that they would uphold the school’s values and legacy.

The Farewell Assembly concluded on an emotional yet hopeful note, celebrating the students’ achievements and growth as the Primary Wing bid them a proud and affectionate farewell.

Delhi Public School, Mathura Road celebrated its Junior Wing Annual Function “Panchtatva – Celebrating the Five Elements of Life” on 13th February 2026 with great enthusiasm.

The programme was graced by Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, along with Shri V.K. Shunglu, Hon’ble Chairman, The DPS Society, Ms. Vrinda Sarup, Chairperson MC DPS Mathura Road and Shri Promod Chander Rawal, member managing committee.

Under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Ram Singh and the indispensable support of Vice Principal Ms. Soni Saxena, students of Classes III–V presented vibrant performances depicting Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space.

It was a memorable celebration of talent, creativity, and environmental awareness.

On 31 January 2026, the vibrant, green and artist-friendly campus of DPS Mathura Road came alive with colours, imagination and infectious enthusiasm as we proudly hosted the TOI Colour Splash Event.

Under the inspiring and visionary leadership of our respected Principal, Dr. Ram Singh, the school welcomed over 600 young artists from 80 schools across Delhi NCR. Our spacious, well-equipped campus—with its open fields, creative corners and lively learning spaces—buzzed with excitement as students explored the themes “Around the World in a Day” and “Travelling Through a Landmark of Festivals,” transforming the campus into a living canvas

This wonderful initiative by The Times of India, in collaboration with Jockey Juniors, beautifully celebrated creativity, confidence and fearless self-expression among children.

Our online classrooms were filled with joy and festive cheer as students of Classes I–V celebrated Christmas with “Christmas Craft and Carol Time.”

Students created beautiful Christmas cards and wrote heartfelt messages for a ‘Santa-like’ person in their lives, expressing love and gratitude.

The celebration concluded with a cheerful carol-singing session, spreading happiness, unity, and the true spirit of Christmas.

To observe the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, activities were conducted for Classes I–V to promote empathy, inclusion, and awareness. Students of Classes I–II participated in the “Draw Without Looking” blindfold art challenge, helping them understand the difficulties faced by visually impaired individuals. Students of Classes III–V researched and presented on famous personalities with disabilities who have achieved great success through determination. The activities encouraged respect for diversity and highlighted the importance of supporting equal opportunities for everyone.

The Primary and Pre-Primary Wings of DPS Mathura Road proudly observed Constitution Day (Samvidhan Diwas) on 26th November 2025, in accordance with the circular issued by the Directorate of Education.

A special morning assembly, film screening, poster-making activity, and quiz on the Constitution of India were conducted to mark this significant day.

These activities aimed to instill in young learners the core values of unity, equality, justice, and respect—the guiding principles of our Indian Constitution.

Our young students participated with great enthusiasm, making the celebration meaningful and memorable.

The Primary Wing celebrated Janjatiya Gaurav Divas with engaging creative activities inspired by India’s vibrant tribal heritage, conducted in alignment with CBSE Circular No. Acad-84/2025.

Our young learners immersed themselves in traditional art forms, creating stunning 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐡𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐢 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬. Their illustrations beautifully showcased scenes of community life, music, celebration, and wildlife—reflecting the essence of tribal culture.

These activities strengthened fine motor skills, creativity, observation, and cultural awareness.

The artworks truly capture the imagination and artistic spirit of our foundational stage learners as they begin to appreciate India’s rich and diverse cultural legacy.

Celebrating Creativity on National Author’s Day!

On 1st November, the Primary Wing celebrated National Author’s Day with joyful literary activities.

Students of Classes I & II spoke about their favourite storybooks and authors, and illustrated their favourite characters, while Classes III–V imagined themselves as writers in “If I Were an Author,” designing their own book titles and cover pages.

These activities encouraged imaginative thinking, self-expression, and a love for reading and writing, helping children discover the joy and power of storytelling.

The Inter-House Weave a Story Competition for Class IV was a resounding success, showcasing the creativity and public speaking skills of our young students! Participants from different houses captivated the audience with their engaging stories, impressive presentations, and confident stage presence. The judges were impressed with the students' creativity, language skills, and overall delivery. Kudos to all the participants for making it a memorable event!

On October 29, 2025, Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, organized and Inter House 'Just a Minute' session for Class V students. The session aimed to enhance public speaking, confidence, and quick thinking skills. Students were given random topics and spoke about them without preparation for a minute, showcasing their creativity and clear expression. The event encouraged students to think on their feet and articulate their thoughts effectively. Participants were appreciated for their efforts, making the session engaging and enriching. It was a valuable experience in developing essential life skills.

An educational excursion to the National Science Centre, Delhi was organized for the students of Class IV on 31st October 2025. The visit aimed to enhance scientific knowledge and provide hands-on learning experiences beyond the classroom.

The students explored various sections such as the Fun Science Gallery, Human Biology Gallery, Prehistoric Life Gallery, and Water: The Elixir of Life. They observed a variety of exhibits and working models that explained different scientific principles in an interesting and interactive manner.

The children displayed great enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the visit. Teachers guided them and encouraged discussions to help connect what they saw with their lessons in school.

The trip was both educational and enjoyable, sparking scientific thinking and curiosity among students. It was indeed a memorable and enriching experience for all.

The young historians of Class V embarked on an enriching educational trip to the magnificent Red Fort, Delhi on 7th November 2025. The visit brought history alive as students marvelled at the grandeur of the Diwan-i-Aam, Diwan-i-Khas, Moti Masjid, and Rang Mahal.

Guided by their teachers, they explored the architectural brilliance of the Mughal era and learned fascinating stories of India’s glorious past.

It was a day filled with curiosity, learning, and joy, leaving every child inspired and proud of India’s rich cultural heritage.

Our young learners from the Primary Wing celebrated National Author’s Day with boundless creativity and enthusiasm!

DPS Mathura Road Junior School organized a Staff Felicitation Ceremony on the auspicious occasion of Teacher’s Day . The program commenced with the invocation of Goddess Saraswati through a soulful Saraswati Vandana, where the Vice Principal, Ms. Soni Saxena, joined the choir of Primary Wing teachers. This was followed by a thoughtful speech on the significance of Teacher’s Day and a heartwarming medley of songs presented by the teachers of the Pre-Primary Wing.

The Principal, Dr. Ram Singh, in his inspiring address, emphasized the pivotal role of teachers in shaping individuals and, consequently, society at large. The highlight of the ceremony was the felicitation of teachers from various departments, acknowledging their dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to nurturing young minds across diverse domains. The felicitation by the Principal, Dr. Ram Singh, reflected his thoughtful vision and keen eye in ensuring that no teacher’s hard work goes unnoticed. His gracious gesture of appreciating and applauding teachers further motivated them to continue striving for excellence and inspired them to carry forward their commitment with renewed zeal.

The event truly celebrated the teaching fraternity, their invaluable contribution, and their role as the guiding force behind the holistic growth of students.

The Sixth Prabhjot Baruah Memorial Inter-School English Debate for Classes IV and V on 19 August 2025 at Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, was a resounding success, celebrating the power of words and the spirit of healthy discourse. Thirteen leading Delhi schools participated in the event.

The debate concluded with the prize distribution by the Principal, Dr. Ram Singh. He also encouraged the students to actively take part in such events. The judges praised all participants for their confidence and clarity.

As part of the “दिल्ली को कूड़े से आज़ादी – स्वच्छता अभियान”, Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, Primary Wing conducted a Cleanliness Drive on Tuesday, 5th August for Classes I and II.

As part of the Shramdaan initiative, students enthusiastically cleaned their classrooms, equipped with gloves and dusters brought from home. They dusted furniture, wiped desks, and tidied up their surroundings.

Following the activity, students took a pledge to maintain cleanliness in school and in their surroundings, committing themselves to contribute towards a litter-free and hygienic environment.

To extend the learning beyond school, students were also given a home task to clean their school bag and study table, reinforcing the habit of cleanliness in their daily lives.

The drive not only instilled a sense of responsibility but also promoted teamwork and environmental awareness among young learners. It was a meaningful and inspiring experience for all.

HAR GHAR TIRANGA 2025 As part of CBSE’s “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, DPS Mathura Road organized a series of patriotic activities from 2nd to 14th August 2025.

In Phase I, students decorated notice boards and corridors with Tiranga-themed art, participated in rangoli competitions and took part in online quizzes.

In Phase II, a Tiranga rally was held in the school, where students proudly carried the national flag.

Phase III concluded with the Independence Day flag-hoisting ceremony, along with students and staff uploading selfies with the Tiranga on the official portal.

These activities helped instil a deep sense of pride and respect for the national flag among students, while also promoting creativity and civic responsibility. A total of 3327 / 4326 students enthusiastically participated in the campaign, making it a memorable celebration of unity and patriotism.

The Ad-Mad Show competition for Class III students was a resounding success, showcasing their creativity and innovative thinking. The event encouraged students to think outside the box and develop unique advertisements for various products. With enthusiasm and confidence, the students presented their ads, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and communication skills.

The competition provided a platform for students to express their ideas, explore their imagination, and develop essential skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and public speaking. The Ad-Mad Show was an engaging and entertaining experience, highlighting the students' talent and potential.

Overall, the competition was a fantastic way to foster creativity, innovation, and self-expression among Class III students, and it was wonderful to see them have so much fun while learning and growing.

Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, organized an Inter-House Hindi debate competition for students of Class IV and V on the topic "Robotic Yug Mein Manveey Sanvednaon Ka Mahatva Nahin Hai" (Importance of Human Emotions in the Robotic Age). The competition saw an enthusiastic participation from students, making it a thrilling experience.

During the debate, students presented their unique perspectives on the topic, both in favor and against, which was the main attraction for the audience. After the results were announced, the Principal, Dr. Ram Singh, addressed the gathering and felicitated the winners. He expressed his gratitude to all participants.

As part of CBSE Circular No. 41, our Primary Wing is actively observing the Sadak Suraksha Abhiyaan—a national initiative to promote road safety awareness among students and parents.

The Primary Wing of Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, successfully hosted the Inter-House English Debate on July 15, 2025. The thought-provoking topic, "Smart gadgets make people dull," sparked a lively discussion, showcasing the exceptional oratory skills and critical thinking of our young debaters. Students from different houses presented well-researched arguments for and against the motion, demonstrating passion and conviction that were truly commendable. The debate not only honed their public speaking skills but also fostered teamwork and critical thinking.

As Cicero once said, "The limits of my language are the limits of my world." Our young debaters have indeed expanded their world through this enriching experience.

Under the visionary leadership of our Principal, Dr. Ram Singh, and the motivational guidance of Vice Principal, Ms. Soni Saxena, the Primary Wing's Quiz Club successfully organized a dynamic Quiz Training Session. About 70 enthusiastic students from Classes III-V actively participated in this engaging event.

Led by Mr. Arindam Bhattacharya, the session provided fascinating insights into Indian states and capitals. As a part of the P N Panicker Reading Month initiative, aligning with the CBSE Circular-33, the session aimed to instill a love for reading among students. The introduction to unique sports like Sepak Takraw sparked curiosity and interest, offering a fresh perspective on the world of sports.

To celebrate International Plastic Bag Free Day, Classes I–V engaged in hands-on activities promoting sustainability. Classes I–II decorated cloth bags and played an eco-sorting game to learn about eco-friendly choices. Classes III–V created paper bags using old newspapers, glue, scissors, and ribbons, learning to reuse materials and reduce plastic waste. These activities sparked creativity and awareness, helping students understand the environmental impact of plastic and encouraging responsible habits. The event successfully blended fun and learning, inspiring young minds to care for the planet.

Every moment of the Sports Summer Camp organized by Physical Education department at DPS Mathura Road, held from 19th May to 6th June 2025, was packed with energy, enthusiasm, and unforgettable experiences!

From exciting activities to remarkable achievements, the camp provided a vibrant platform for students to learn, grow, and enjoy. The closing ceremony for the Junior School (Pre-School to Class V) was held on 5th June and was graced by our esteemed Vice Principal, Mrs. Soni Saxena. She presented participation certificates to all the young campers, appreciating their spirited involvement and dedication.

It was a joyful culmination of weeks filled with learning, fun, and fitness!

To celebrate World Environment Day, our little environmentalists from Classes I and II at DPS Mathura Road rolled up their sleeves and planted their very own mini gardens!

With cups, soil, and seeds in hand, the children joyfully learned about how plants grow and why it's important to care for nature. They also enjoyed a heartwarming story of The Giving Tree, leaving them inspired and full of love for the Earth.

Students of Classes III to V unleashed their creativity in an Eco-Hero Poster Making activity, designing their own superheroes to fight pollution and protect the planet. Using colours and recycled materials, they showcased their ideas and wrote short descriptions of their hero’s mission to save Earth.

To mark World Migratory Bird Day, students of Classes III–V watched an educational video on bird migration, learning about why birds travel long distances and the importance of protecting their habitats. They then traced the migration routes of birds like the Siberian Crane and Amur Falcon on maps of India. Using colours and sketch pens, students illustrated the routes and decorated them with bird drawings. The activity helped develop awareness about migratory birds, enhanced map-reading skills, and encouraged creativity, making it a fun and meaningful learning experience.

DPS MATHURA ROAD, Physical Education Faculty is pleased to present successful conduct and outcomes of the Sports

Trial held on 17th May 2025 from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM at the school for Junior classes.

The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation of 255 students from classes I-V, who came forward to compete in a wide array of sports and games. Each trial was overseen by our trained Physical Education instructors, ensuring fair assessment and smooth coordination throughout the event.

From each sport, promising students were shortlisted based on their performance, skill level, teamwork, and potential. These selected students will now undergo further team practice and training sessions in preparation for various competitions scheduled in the upcoming academic session.

This sports trial served as a remarkable platform for students to showcase their athletic abilities and competitive spirit, while also encouraging sportsmanship, discipline, and confidence. It was heartening to see the high level of talent and dedication displayed by the participants.

On Tuesday(13.5.25), an Inter-House Mental Maths Competition was conducted for the students of class IV. The event aimed to enhance mental calculation skills and promote healthy competition among students. Participants from different houses showcased their arithmetic abilities, solving problems quickly and accurately.The event concluded successfully, fostering a spirit of maths enthusiasm and competitiveness among the students.

• Second position - Jhelum
• Third position - Ganga

DPS Mathura Road Conducts Civil Defence Mock Drill in Line with MHA Directive In response to the advisory issued by the Directorate of Education under the directive of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, successfully conducted a comprehensive civil defence mock drill on 7th May 2025.

The initiative was part of a nationwide exercise aimed at enhancing preparedness among students and staff in the face of potential emergencies such as air raids, sabotage threats, and other hostile situations. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) supervised the exercise, ensuring that safety protocols were implemented effectively.

The drill began with a warning signal, prompting students and teachers to take immediate protective action. Children were instructed to duck under desks or stand against walls, using their bags and arms to shield their heads. Teachers swiftly closed doors and windows, and switched off electrical appliances.

The Principal,Dr.Ram Singh commended the coordination and seriousness with which students and staff participated. “Preparedness is the key to safety. Such drills not only inform but empower,” he remarked.The mock drill reaffirmed the school’s commitment to fostering a culture of safety, awareness, and civic responsibility in alignment with national priorities.

Under the inspiring guidance of our Principal Dr Ram Singh our school has successfully implemented the BRIDGE PROGRAMME for Class V. This initiative, rooted in the NEP 2020 and NCF 2023, is designed to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills.

The programme focuses on bridging learning gaps while encouraging active student engagement through hands-on, activity-based learning. It’s a proud step forward in preparing our learners for a brighter, intellectually curious future.

On May 1, 2025, during the 2nd period, the Junior School's basketball court witnessed an exciting Inter-house Basketball match between Satluj and Chenab houses. The students of class IV participated in this match . The match was filled with energetic cheers and impressive displays of skill and teamwork. Both teams showcased their basketball prowess, making it a closely contested game. In the end, Satluj house emerged victorious, demonstrating their strong teamwork and strategy. The event promoted healthy competition and sportsmanship among the students, making it a thrilling experience for all involved.

Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, conducted the Inter-house Colouring Competition for Class I on April 30, 2025, in their respective classrooms. The event aimed to encourage young learners to express their creativity, improve their focus, and build confidence in presenting their work.

Students from all six houses – Ravi, Chenab, Ganga, Jhelum, Yamuna, and Sutlej – took part with great enthusiasm. They filled their artworks with vibrant colours and imaginative details, reflecting both joy and a deep passion for artistic expression.

The competition was judged based on the criteria such as colouring skill, neatness, and creativity. The event was a delightful celebration of art and inspiration for all who took part. It not only highlighted the creative potential of the students but also encouraged them to express themselves confidently.

Enthusiastic participants from all six houses – Ravi, Chenab, Ganga, Jhelum, Yamuna, and Sutlej – showcased their reading prowess, engaging their peers with interesting news pieces.

This competition inspired young learners and fostered a spirit of camaraderie and enthusiasm for reading.

Under the esteemed leadership of Principal Dr. Ram Singh, Classes I–V celebrated International Dance Day on 29 April 2025 with great enthusiasm. Students explored various national and international dance forms through educational videos, gaining insights into their cultural significance and the benefits of dance. They participated in an engaging quiz on Indian dance forms and learned the basics of Hip Hop and Jazz during their dance periods, enhancing their coordination, rhythm, and creativity while promoting physical fitness and self-expression. As a result, students gained awareness of Indian and international dance forms and their cultural significance, and developed basic skills in Hip Hop and Jazz, improving coordination, rhythm, and self-expression.

The Inter-House Spelling Bee Competition for Class IV was held in the school amphitheatre. The event was organized to encourage students to enhance their spelling skills, vocabulary, and confidence.

The competition consisted of multiple rounds, including a warm-up starter round, tricky word round, unfamiliar words and advance words round. The questions became increasingly challenging as the competition progressed, keeping the audience and participants on the edge of their seats. The competition not only showcased the spelling talents of our young learners but also fostered a spirit of teamwork and healthy competition. Stay tuned for more such enriching events in the future!

The Inter-House Basketball match for Class IV was held on 24.4.25, Thursday in the Junior school Play Ground. The event aimed to promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among students. The students of Ganga and Yamuna House participated in the competition, showcasing their skills and strategies on the court. The match was intense and closely contested, with each house demonstrating excellent teamwork and coordination. In the end, Ganga House emerged as the winner. To instill the significance of voting and to provide a practical understanding of how leaders are elected in our country, the Primary Wing of Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, organized elections for the posts of Head Boy and Head Girl.

Students of Classes IV and V enthusiastically participated in the democratic process by casting their votes for the candidates. This experiential learning initiative offered young learners valuable insight into the importance of voting and the principles of leadership selection. Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, conducted the Interhouse Calligraphy Competition – Penmanship for Class II on April 16, 2025. The event was designed to promote the art of beautiful handwriting and instill in students the values of neatness, patience, and presentation.

The event encouraged students to slow down and appreciate the aesthetics of handwriting, while also developing fine motor skills, concentration, and self-discipline. The competition was a delightful blend of creativity and mindfulness, where the beauty of the written word took center experience for the children.

Students of Grades I–V at DPS Mathura Road celebrated World Health Day with a series of fun and educational activities. A short video on healthy living was shown to all students to raise awareness about the importance of good health. Grades I–II participated in "Fruitastic Fun", where they dressed up as their favourite fruits and spoke about their health benefits, enhancing their confidence and communication skills. Grades III–V took part in "Fruit Frenzy", preparing colourful fruit salads and writing about the nutritional value of fruits and vegetables, promoting creativity, hands-on learning, and awareness of balanced diets. The activities successfully encouraged healthy habits while making learning engaging and enjoyable.

To commemorate, World Autism Awareness Day on 2 April students from Classes I-V participated in various activities designed to raise awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Classes I-V watched the animated movie "My Brother Charlie" and discussed the importance of recognizing each person's uniqueness. Classes I and II shared 2-3 lines about their personal strengths and interests, while Classes III-V researched and presented on famous individuals with autism, highlighting their contributions to society. These activities fostered a deeper understanding of autism, promoting acceptance and inclusion while encouraging students to appreciate diversity in abilities.

The Sparkling Stars event was a wonderful singing activity where children confidently displayed their vocal talents. Their melodious performances brought joy to everyone present. It was a memorable celebration of music and creativity.

The Costume Carnival was a fun and lively event where children came dressed as their favourite cartoon characters and famous personalities. They confidently spoke a few lines about their characters, showing great enthusiasm and creativity. It was a joyful experience that helped children express themselves and created many happy memories.

It was a vibrant and joyful event where our Pre Primary Wing children showcased their talent through energetic dance performances on lively songs. Dressed beautifully according to their respective themes, the little performers lit up the stage with confidence, enthusiasm, and charming expressions. Their coordinated moves, colourful costumes and happy smiles made the event truly delightful and memorable for everyone present.

The school sports field buzzed with laughter and excitement as the Rocksport Adventure Camp began. Children took part in thrilling activities like burma bridge, rock climbing, commando bridge, laser beam, crawling, tug of war and many more with great enthusiasm and determination. The camp helped them become stronger, work together and believe in themselves. Every child went home with joyful memories of fun-filled activities and proud moments of achievement.

The Gurupurab celebrations were made special by the children of the Pre-Primary Wing, who dressed as Sardars and Sardarni’s and took part in the Prabhat Pheri. With bright smiles and devotional songs, they walked through the school corridors, sharing Guru Nanak Ji’s message of faith, unity and service.

Children learned and recited a poem or rhyme in their preferred language and presented it confidently in class using costumes and props. The activity was successfully conducted and the children participated with great enthusiasm. It helped enhance their language skills, confidence, expression and stage presence. Overall, the activity was engaging and enjoyable for all the children.

The celebration kicked off with children dressed in vibrant traditional attire, twirling joyfully to the rhythmic beats of Garba music. Their graceful moves and cheerful smiles filled the atmosphere with festive spirit. The little dancers showcased their enthusiasm and energy, making the day a delightful celebration of culture, rhythm, and togetherness.

The Pre Primary Wing celebrated a vibrant Diwali on 17th October, 2025. Students decorated diyas with colorful designs and made paper lanterns, showcasing their creativity and cultural appreciation. It was a wonderful day for our little ones to come together and enjoy the joyous spirit of the Festival of Lights!

"Nanhe Kalakar" was an exciting celebration of our young artists' creative flair! The event showcased the artistic talents of the tiny tots as they brought their imagination to life through drawing. With topics thoughtfully provided by their teachers, our young artists were able to express their unique perspectives and showcase their skills. It was a truly wonderful opportunity to appreciate the creativity, imagination, and talent of our children

Teachers' Day is a special occasion to honour and appreciate the dedication, hard work, and love that the teachers put into shaping the lives of the children. The Pre Primary Wing celebrated this special day with utmost enthusiasm and gratitude. The children spoke a few heartfelt lines about their beloved teachers to express their admiration and respect.

The Pre-Primary Wing celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with great joy and enthusiasm. The little ones came dressed in traditional Maharashtrian attire and looked absolutely adorable, adding festive charm to the day. Children participated in creative hands-on activities, where they made delicious modaks and beautifully crafted Ganpati idols using air-dry clay.

Through these activities, the children not only enjoyed themselves but also learned about the significance of Lord Ganesha as the remover of obstacles and the symbol of wisdom and prosperity. The classrooms echoed with festive cheer and shared their handmade creations with pride.

A fun-filled three-day event was organized for the little ones in the Pre Primary Wing, focussing on the importance of table etiquette and healthy eating.

Our little stars from the Pre-Primary Wing had a delightful time at a special screening of “Leo and Tig” in the KG Hall. With eyes full of wonder and smiles that lit up the room, they were completely captivated by the story. Adding to the fun, the children enjoyed crunchy popcorn and refreshing juice while watching the movie. The hall echoed with laughter, giggles and the warmth of shared moments with friends. It was truly a magical movie day-a perfect mix of entertainment, bonding and pure joy.

Pre-School D's young students showcased their understanding of peace and harmony through a thought-provoking assembly, featuring speeches, rhymes, and action songs that promoted kindness and respect.

In a captivating storytelling session, Pre-School C's young learners were treated to the timeless fable "The Lion and the Mouse." Pre-Primary B parents presented 'The Sweet Trap', a fun and informative session on healthy eating habits. Kids had a blast while learning about the ill effects of excessive sugar intake!

On July 3, 2025, parents of Pre-School C class presented a engaging parody titled "The Sweet Trap", highlighting the harmful effects of excessive sugar intake. Through a creative mix of song, dance, narration, and props, the parents effectively conveyed the importance of healthy eating habits to the young children. The presentation was both entertaining and informative, leaving a lasting impact on the kids and encouraging them to make nutritious food choices from a young age.

Today, our preschoolers participated in an enactment on “Stranger Danger” to help them understand the importance of staying safe. Through simple role-play activities, children learned who a stranger is and how to respond if approached by someone they don’t know.

The children practiced saying “No!”, stepping away, and informing a trusted adult immediately.

Students had a blast navigating a simulated airport, learning about baggage handling, boarding passes, passport checks, and more. This hands-on experience taught them essential skills and provided a fun, interactive way to learn.

The Pre-Primary Wing's Mini Mart activity on May 7, 2025, was a resounding success. Students of Class Pre-School participated in a simulated marketplace, learning financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and social skills. They took on various roles, managed budgets, and practiced buying and selling, developing essential skills in resource management, negotiation, and customer service. The event fostered teamwork, confidence, and creative thinking, providing a valuable learning experience.

The Pre-Primary wing successfully conducted a disaster management awareness program for kindergarten children, focusing on safety, emergency preparedness, and reassurance. The initiative included simple explanations, safety drills and storytelling activities.

_Young Voices on Healthy Eating_

Our Pre-Primary Wing's Poshan Pakhwada celebration continues with students confidently sharing their thoughts on healthy food and nutrition. This engaging activity promoted awareness and encouraged young learners to make informed choices.

Poshan Pakhwada 2025 saw our Pre-School teachers engaging young learners in interactive activities promoting healthy eating habits, proper food storage, and mindful consumption. Through discussions, demonstrations, and food sorting exercises, children developed awareness of nutritious food choices and safe storage practices. This hands-on approach laid the foundation for lifelong healthy habits, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm among our young students.

As part of the Poshan Abhiyaan, our school is participating in the Poshan Pakhwada celebration till April 25, 2025. The initiative aims to promote nutrition awareness and healthy lifestyles, focusing on school-going children. Our class is divided into groups of 7 children, each performing for a day over a span of 5 days. They will speak and discuss the importance of healthy food using props, promoting wellness across the nation.

Delhi Public School Mathura Road's Pre-Primary Wing celebrated Earth Day on April 22, 2025, with the theme "Earth Day, Everyday." Students engaged in various activities, including plant watering, Earth protection discussions, and craft projects. Pre-Schoolers created Mother Earth using air-dry clay, while Pre-Primary students learned about the 3Rs, eco-friendly practices, and alternatives to plastic. The Pre-Primary B class warmly welcomed the new preschool children to the Delhi Public School family through a delightful assembly.
