DPS Mathura Road has the best-designed, spacious, sophisticated and safe Science laboratories. These labs are equipped with the most modern apparatus which encourage students to learn through experiment and research work.

At our school, a scientific temperament is nurtured through fully equipped and suitably designed laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Students are encouraged to use the facilities for enhancing their innovative and scientific skills. The Physics, Chemistry and Biology labs cater to the needs of conducting experiments specified by CBSE. As many as 40 students can perform a wide range of experiments simultaneously while the teachers are always at hand to provide constant supervision and guidance for optimum results. Projects can be developed of a very superior standard thereby encouraging investigative analysis and reasoning.

Recent Infrastructural Developments

The school has recently undertaken several infrastructural initiatives to provide students and staff with a comfortable, safe and future-ready environment.

An indoor play area has been developed on the first floor of the Primary Wing.
Air-conditioning has been installed in all classrooms from Pre-Primary to Class XII.
Two 320 KVA generators have been procured to ensure uninterrupted power supply across the school campus.
The Admin Block and its staff facilities have been renovated and upgraded.
The AI Innovation & Incubation Centre has been inaugurated to promote innovation, technological skills and future-ready learning.

AI Innovation & Incubation Centre

The AI Innovation & Incubation Centre at Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, has been established to provide students with structured, hands-on exposure to Artificial Intelligence, emerging technologies and innovation.

The Centre follows a progressive Three-Level AI Learning Ecosystem, designed to develop students’ knowledge and practical skills at every stage:

Level 1: AI Foundation
Level 2: AI Creator (Pro)
Level 3: AI Builder (Advanced)

Through interactive sessions, project-based learning and practical applications, students are encouraged to explore ideas, solve real-world problems and develop the confidence required to become responsible creators of technology.

As part of the Centre’s initial programmes, 59 students successfully completed an intensive AI Summer Camp, while 58 students completed the Level 1 AI Foundation Programme and progressed to Level 2, AI Creator (Pro).

New batches for the Level 1 AI Foundation Programme are conducted to provide more students with the opportunity to begin their journey in Artificial Intelligence and innovation.

Under the able guidance of our Principal, Dr. Ram Singh, DPS Mathura Road has added yet another feather to its cap.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the school’s very own Personal Podcast Studio Initiative!

This innovative platform offers students a dynamic opportunity to develop and showcase their innate speaking abilities. The live podcast station, set up within the school premises, will serve as a creative hub for student voices.

To ensure excellence, a team of professionals has been engaged to train students in handling podcasting equipment, mastering speaking skills, and learning the art of effective interjection and audience engagement.

Students are excited and exhilarated to bring their conversations live to the airwaves, making their voices heard like never before.

Biology Lab

In the biology lab, the students study detailed structures, morphological, histological and physiological aspects of plants and animals.

Our labs are well stocked with sufficient chemicals, specimens and instruments so that every student gets the opportunity to carry out the experiments individually. Moreover, the safety of each and every child while handling the chemicals and instruments is duly taken care of. The aim of having separate labs is to provide ample time and adequate equipment for every student to perform the experiments as per the CBSE guidelines. At DPS Mathura Road, we have two exceptionally well-appointed libraries for learners of all ages. The Senior School Library equipped with 40000+ books is for the Middle and Senior wing and The Junior School Library equipped with 27000+ books is for the Primary wing. We aim at widening the horizon and liberating young minds by inculcating reading habits in children. Great care is taken to select appropriate books that trigger the thoughts and creative imagination. The Library houses a wide variety of reference books, periodicals and fiction and non-fiction books of varied genre.

Smart Classrooms

The school is equipped with air-conditioned smart classes from Pre-Primary to Class XII, with latest technology using visualizers, TFT screens, computers, internet connectivity, amplifiers, speakers and much more during regular teaching-learning class sessions in the Primary, Middle and Senior Wings. Without taking away the concept of traditional education, smart classes add more opportunities of learning to the existing ones. They render fun time quality education to learners and helps them understand concepts better. In addition to simplifying the learning process, the classes are more interactive and interesting.

School Clinic

The School Clinic is a well-equipped facility headed by a qualified and experienced doctor. Urgent medical treatment is administered efficiently. For emergencies, the school has a tie- up with established hospitals and also mobilises the school ambulance for the same. The medical staff of the clinic conducts regular medical check-up of the students and also maintains the records. Furthermore, the students are also examined by reputed dentists and ophthalmologists.

School Canteen

A healthy body houses a healthy mind. At DPS Mathura Road, we always encourage students to eat home-cooked food. However, for the convenience of students and staff, the school canteen provides light snacks and refreshments. All efforts are made to ensure that the items served are fresh and meet the required health standards. The canteen is open to students only during the recess period.

MPH & KG Hall

An Auditorium is a central and important space in any school. The auditorium provides many students their first introduction to performing arts, both as audiences and as performers. The school is equipped with a state of the art air-conditioned auditorium, KG Hall, that is used for events, workshops, cultural programmes, debates, inter-school events to name a few. It is equipped with fine acoustics and lighting facilities.

Computer Labs

DPS Mathura Road has a well-equipped, well-organized, and air-conditioned computer labs where students can learn how to operate computers and assists students in developing robust computer skills by offering them the best-in-class computer systems. All computers come with modern software and cutting-edge learning tools for robotics, coding, and programming. Students are also introduced to a variety of digital tools by a professional mentor who helps them learn new and relevant information needed for their studies. Projectors, smart boards, scanners, printers, software and other variety of hardware are placed in computer labs. Whiteboards are effective in instructional activities, while bulletin boards provide space for displaying student work.

Atal Lab

Delhi Public School, Mathura Road inaugurated the Atal Tinkering Lab on 27 September 2018 as part of the Atal Innovation Mission which envisions to ‘Cultivate One Million Children in India as Neoteric Innovators’. The objective of this scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds; and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc. It aims at an objective of inculcating skills such as designing mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning etc. amongst children giving them a chance to understand what, how and why aspects of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). It optimises the usage of the workspace at school by giving greater opportunities to the students to learn by the hands-on learning process. ATL brings out the potential of students from class VI to XII by providing a plethora of experiments and opportunities where they can perform and learn. It incorporates the STEM learning methodology and makes innovators ready for the future. The ATL at schools also helps students in enhancing their knowledge about the latest trends and innovation. Such students are not only aware of new technology but they are also the ones who have a swift hands-on practice to use such innovations. The Atal Tinkering Lab makes the STEM subjects easy and understandable to the students.
