DATE: 13.04.23 (Thursday)
Time: 9:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M.

“If future generations are to remember us more with gratitude than sorrow, we must achieve more than just the miracles of technology. We must also leave them a glimpse of the world as it was created, not just as it looked when we got through with it.” – Lyndon B. Johnson

The Atal Tinkering Labs are working in the direction of building a community which innovates for the benefit of generations to come. The objective of this scheme is not only to develop curiosity, creativity, and imagination but also to strive for the enrichment of society as a whole.

Holding on to the core values of the Atal Innovation Mission, which aims at building a better tomorrow, Delhi Public School, Mathura Road celebrated the ATL Community Day on Thursday, 13th April,2023 at 9:00 A.M. It was a one-day event that was celebrated at the Atal      Tinkering Lab of the school.

Staying true to the philosophy and ideologies of Shri B. R. Ambedkar, we invited the students of other (Non-ATL) schools to participate in this journey of innovation. It was open for the neighboring schools so that every child could experience the skills and techniques intrinsic to innovation. Ten students and 3 teachers from three schools collaborated to create innovative solutions. Twenty students for the host school also participated enthusiastically in the event. The students got an opportunity to experience innovation and do hands-on activities in school.

The students of classes VI to X were an integral part of these activities. They explored their new ideas with each other.
The students were very excited and learnt about Autodesk and 3D printing with keen interest and interacted actively with the resource persons. They also performed the robotics activities using tinkering kits. The sheer joy on the faces of these young innovators and explorers was priceless, when they completed their hands on activities and the models from 3D printer came out. It made them believe that they can be innovators too.
The gracious presence of our School Principal Ms. Reema Sharma, and Vice Principal (Academics) Ms. Monica Sahni, Headmistress Ms. Ranjana Dean, along with other staff members was inspiring. They appreciated the efforts of the teachers and the students towards the grand success of the programme.
At the valedictory session, the students were awarded with participation certificates.
It was indeed an enriching and nurturing experience for one and all. We would like to thank AIM for taking such an initiative and making the ATL experience inclusive and all-encompassing.
