ATL & Robotics Club Report (2022-23) :

Delhi Public School, Mathura Road takes prestige in the long-standing list of achievements of The ATL & Robotics Club that had been configured in August 2022. The objective of the club is to inculcate new age skills such as designing mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning and more amongst its children by giving them a chance to understand the what, how and why aspects of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

Students of the club participated enthusiastically in ATL events organized by various schools across Delhi and NCR throughout the academic year .To begin with the spate of events, ATL community Day was celebrated on 13 April 2022 by organizing an offline ATL & Robotics workshop for 50 students of class VIII under the able guidance of Stem Robo and resource person Mr.Shubham Gupta. In May 2022, three teams joined the 9 week long Tinkerpreneur Summer Bootcamp ,which equipped each student with the key digital and entrepreneurial skill to create their own online venture by the end of the bootcamp.

In June 2022, Anushka Bhargava got shortlisted for the grand finale of Smart India Hackathon 2022, Junior Edition organized by the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell.

The month of July 2022 catered to the two enthusiastic teams who submitted their entries in Horses Stable Junior, launched by Atal Innovation Mission in collaboration with Horses Production Pvt Ltd:

The ATL and Robotics club organized its first Offline Intra school event, Robotron’22 on 24th August 2022. Various online and offline events were organized and executed in an efficient manner. More than 170 enthusiastic students from all classes participated in the event which was conducted under the able guidance of Vice Principal Academics, Ms.Monica Sahni and was appreciated for its smooth conduct and success.

After the Mid-Term exam, the students of classes 6 to 8 started attending offline classes as per the time table where they were introduced to Robotics. The interested students of class 9 initiated making projects under the able guidance of Mr Mayank from Stem Robo in their SUPW periods.

Large number of students participated in ROBOTECH the Online National Robotics competition organized by Learn Tinkering from 13 October to 17 October 2022.

Team of Akshar Kashyap (11C) and Rehan Saifi (11C) secured the Third Position in the event Business Blasters , a part of Technovation’ 22 organized Bal Bhawan Internatinal School Sector 12 , Dwarka.

All the events were held online.

To add a little more vibrancy to the Inter DPS Environment Fest held on 12th November in our School, the event “GREEN ENTREPRENEUR’’ invited 22 schools to create an actual embodiment of the idea of a perfect city. The students were supposed to present a self-sustaining 3D city model. The event saw enthusiastic participants from the young students of various DPS Schools who showcased their immense talent. Many working/non-working models promoted features like rainwater harvesting, sustainability, animal husbandry, horticulture, renewable sources of energy etc. which was truly an inspiration and portrayed the enthusiasm and determination of the participants to give it their all and win. Their models also included emergency systems such as alarms, SOS calls, Emergency lights etc. in case of any mishappenings and natural calamities. Many schools also demonstrated the use of private and electrically-run vehicles, use of windmill and solar panels to give an idea of a perfect city. Students were judged on the basis of their creativity, designing skills and public speaking skills. The President of our Club Ashish Bhardwaj of XII A and VP our club Rehnan Saifi of XI C also participated in the event and presented a working model on Smart Automated Sustainable city.

On the occasion of Childrens Day on 14th November under the able guidance of Mr Aamir from Stem Robo large number of students participated in the Online Mega Tinkering Activity and interaction with CEO of Niti Aayog Mr. Parameswaran Iyer.

Young learners of our school were busy innovating and sculpting and prepared and submitted fourteen projects for ATL Marathon 22

ATL and Robotics Club of the school has insured a vast array of accomplishments within a short span of one year with its indomitable spirit. With Club’s determination, hard work and wisdom, it has been proven that sky is the limit.
