Fit India School Week (14/12/20- 18/12/20)
“Exercise to stimulate, not to annihilate. The world wasn't formed in a day, and neither were we. Set small goals and build upon them.”-Lee Haney
In compliance with the CBSE guidelines vide Circular No. Acad-82/2020, DPS Mathura Road, Primary Wing celebrated the FIT INDIA SCHOOL WEEK from 14th Dec’2020 to 18th Dec’2020. With the unshakable support of our Principal, Ms. Deeksha Khera, under the able guidance of our Headmistress, Ms. Ranjana Dean a cornucopia of activities was organised by the Physical Education Department.
These activities were designed to ensure that the learners do not learn passively but experience the benefits of Health and fitness. Special live sessions were conducted for our enthusiastic pupils by the PE In-charges. The focus was not only the Physical aspect of fitness but mental and social well-being as well. Yogasanas, games for mental activity and family-bond strengthening activities helped in making it a great success. Young minds got actively involved and responded with great fervour. Children of classes IV and V and came up with beautiful jingles on fitness. Little ones could be seen holding their grand-parents’ hands, teaching them Plot 4s, Chess and what not. To see them raking their minds in solving riddles, mathematical puzzles and trying their hands at tongue twisters was sight to behold.
We are much grateful to the parents and our lovely children for their ardour that not only keeps us going in this unique situation but motivates us to think more and do much more.
