Orientation

Orientation Program 2019

The young mind is flexible, sensitive and is influenced and shaped by events in the outside world. Most of what children learn is acquired by exploring, playing with and observing the relation between objects. New parents are apprehensive about the new environment they are sending their child into. Our aim is to encourage children to be self disciplined, caring, tolerant honest, and friendly. This cannot be achieved by teachers alone. We believe parents and teachers need to join hands to achieve this. An orientation program with an expert in the field of child psychology is invited as a guest to address the new parents. The Principal extends a warm welcome to the parents, telling them a bit about the school and the importance of good parenting and teaching. The parents get a glimpse of the confidence and enthusiasm of the little ones though a little performance by the children of class Pre – Primary, where they pray, dance and sing delightfully for the parents. The Guest Speaker has an interactive session with the parents, helping them understand their child and problems they could face in the new phase in their child’s life. A few points highlighted are the importance of a joint family, constant communication and the importance of observational learning to name a few. The day ends with the parents meeting their child’s class teacher, clearing doubts and queries over a cup of tea. This meeting with the parents brings about a comfort level and deeper understanding into the working of the school.
